►We like to be able to pick our own table. We use locally grown organic produce and naturally raised beasts. We make our own bacon, ketchup, aioli, and mustards.  We prefer to serve fish with their heads on; we’re prone to late lunches and early drinking
► We don’t like menus.  Rather, we prefer our ingredients as fresh as possible.  So don’t be offended when you have to get off your butt to peek at a chalkboard (we have chalkboards on wheels too, just ask your server and they will wheel one over to you ☻)
►We think cider is great with breakfast and know that beer improves every meal.  We even have a brewery right under our roof.  We love cooking with wine, and sometimes we even put it in the food.  We like drinking late into the night and love gin & tonics in the summer.
►We love all things Canadian; especially hockey, and girls who aren’t afraid of pork chops.  We’ll eat bacon with every meal if possible.  We love live music, and we love it loud.

We like to have fun.

And we can take those fish heads off if you prefer, pumpkin!

Here at The District Tavern, we like to keep it fresh.  Our menu options change daily, with the seasons, and according to popularity & availability.  We feature Burgers towering with toppings, house made Pasta & Sauces, locally raised meat Sandwiches, and a variety of Charcuterie meats & cheeses created here in Alberta.

We like chalkboards. We don’t do menu’s. It’s no surprise to see a Chef come out of the “Meating Place” to cross out the Pulled Pork Sandwich, or add in a Freshly Baked Peach Pie.  The chalkboards on the walls are visible from most seats in the house, but if maxin’ & relaxin’ is more your style, then we have chalkboards on wheels that your server will bring right to your table.

We like poutine. Poutine for the People! Choose your size (S, M, L), choose your toppings (pan seared mushrooms, gruyere cheese, sour cream, fresh tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, bacon, chicken breast, duck leg confit, a fried egg, a porkchop!) Voila! Perfect as a starter, a main, or for sharing.

We like bacon.  We smoke it in house (you’ll smell it as soon as you walk in), and it comes by the bucket.  Our bucket o’ bacon is perfect for sharing, and comes with maple syrup for dipping.

We like wings.  So much, that we have them on special for 25cents from Monday to Thursday.  Seriously.  Choose from Blue Cheese Hot, Honey Hot, Honey Garlic, Frank’s Hot, Guiness BBQ, Salt & Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Cry Baby Hot ( Suicide), or Jalapeno Bacon Cheddar.
